鳥居龍藏（とりいりゅうぞう，1870年5月4日－1953年1月14日），
是一位生於日本德島縣的人類學家、民族学家、考古學家及民俗學家。

集會所，或公廨，台灣各原住民族多有設置供集會之用。夏威夷人和紐西蘭毛利人的集會也叫做 “Hui", 演變至今已收入紐西蘭的英文，意為集會。由此可見 ”Hui" 為古南島語。因為夏威夷人和毛利在 7000 年前離開台灣，可以推論 "Hui" 這個詞至少使用超過七千年以上。
